When it comes to stamping out insurance fraud, some people’s shoeprints are bigger than others. That’s why, every year since 2003, the Virginia State Police Insurance Fraud Program has honored those who go above and beyond in our battle against fraud – with the Fraud Fighter Awards.
These awards are presented to nominees who make exemplary contributions to Virginia insurance industry anti-fraud efforts while working for an insurance company’s fraud investigation unit, as a Commonwealth’s attorney or in Virginia’s law enforcement community.
The 2026 Fraud Fighter Awards were presented on April 28, 2026 to:
- Jane Collins – Senior Investigator, Virginia Bureau of Insurance
- Joseph J. D’Onofrio, Jr. – Commonwealth’s Attorney, Richmond City
- Eric Flick – Lead Investigator, Virginia Bureau of Insurance
- Scott Letteer – Detective, Henrico County Police Division
- Wathana Prak – Digital Assets Administrator, Henrico County Police Division
- Zackary Stoots – Commonwealth’s Attorney, Russell County
- Jason VonCanon – Detective, Henrico County Police Division
