Virginia State Police Recognizes Outstanding Fraud Fighters
Richmond, Va. — The Virginia State Police Insurance Fraud Program (IFP) recently announced recipients of this year’s Fraud Fighter Awards at the Virginia Chapter of the International Association of Special Investigation Units (VA IASIU) 27th annual training seminar in Richmond.
The awards honor select individuals from commonwealth’s attorneys, law enforcement and the insurance industry who have made significant contributions in the fight against insurance fraud in the Commonwealth. Eleven individuals from around the state were recognized for their outstanding efforts to deter and prevent insurance fraud in Virginia. In addition to the eleven individuals recognized, the VAIASIU recognized one of VSP’s own with their “Outstanding Public Service” award, presented annually for exemplary acts of public service.
“The success of the IFP would not be possible without the tireless efforts of individuals who diligently work to investigate all aspects of insurance fraud and those who prosecute these crimes” explained First Sgt. Thomas Molnar, Virginia State Police IFP coordinator. “We appreciate the dedication and hard work of this year’s recipients.”
